300 technicians out of 4800 in Canada are given the chance to qualify. After vigorous and In Depth exams that had to be perfect.
Paul earned the opportunity to write the final exam, where only 80 out of 300 technicians receive the status of Gold Grand Master.
In the 42 years Paul has been with Hopper Buick GMC, he’s consistently shown leadership, dexterity, strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and solve those tough issues. When you see Paul, make sure you come by, shake his hand and congratulate him for a job well done. He certainly worked hard for it.

2023 GMC Hummer EV
The Hummer name is back, but definitely not in the form that you may have thought. Hummer is a name that has characterized the automotive industry and is certainly one of the most recognizable brands ever built. This year GMC is bringing back the Hummer name in a completely different format with, wait for it, a fully electric engine! Say hello to the all-new 2023 GMC Hummer EV, a brand-new electric truck with a ton of power and a ton of capability.
That said, certain elements of the Hummer DNA are retained on the brand-new 2023 GMC Hummer EV. Just one Look at this all-new electric pickup truck is enough to immediately see the influence of the Hummer brand. The new 2023 GMC Hummer EV has a bold and muscular look that immediately gets noticed and will certainly stand out on the road. The wide grill is a clear reference to Hummer vehicles of the past, as is the design of the wheels and the massive, sharp lines.
The 2023 GMC Hummer EV will also have the power and performance that you expect from a vehicle with this nameplate. The difference is that the power is all-electric. There will be multiple versions of the GMC Hummer EV arriving on the market, with base models offering 625 horsepower and an incredible 7,400 pound-feet of torque. From there, power just keeps going up as you can get an 830-horsepower electric powertrain that also delivers 11,500 pound-feet of torque. If you really want to maximize the power output of the GMC Hummer EV, you can opt for an even more powerful 1,000-hp powertrain.
The GMC Hummer EV will be a true truck with impressive off-road capability and exceptional towing capacity. It will offer between 403 km and 564 km of all-electric range, and it is promising to deliver exceptional and unique technologies. The new GMC Hummer EV is GMC’s first crack at an electric vehicle, and we can’t wait to see what else the automaker has in store!

2022 Buick Encore GX
The 2022 Buick Encore GX is a new subcompact luxury crossover that is earning the attention of many consumers. With its efficient power, AWD performance, advanced safety technologies and more, it has been quite popular since arriving on the market and there is no reason that it shouldn’t remain just as popular in years to come.
The Buick Encore GX comes standard with an ECOTEC 1.3L Turbo engine that generates 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque this year. A nine-speed electronically controlled transmission enhances performance while contributing to fuel efficiency of 9.0 / 8.1 L/100 km. All-wheel drive is standard on all models. Not a bad value proposition for a luxury SUV with a price tag of less than $30,000!
We may categorize it as a subcompact crossover, but it offers plenty of volume and utility inside. There are 1,422 litres of cargo capacity behind the first row and 665 litres behind the second. With folding rear seats, this opens up storage flexibility and room found in larger crossovers and SUVs.
The open design also results in plenty of passenger room. For example, there is 1,039 mm of front legroom, 1,407 mm of front shoulder room and up to 1008 mm of front headroom. Whether you go for a quick trip around town or on a cross-country adventure, the Encore GX provides the space you need.
The Buick Encore GX also shines when it comes to safety. The Encore GX actively alerts you to potential hazards in a variety of situations using Buick Driver Confidence. Standard on each trim, this safety system features Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Intellibeam and Front Pedestrian Braking.
The Encore GX also features advanced body construction, generous airbags, and a host of other available safety technologies that provide more peace of mind.

2022 GMC Sierra
The 2022 GMC Sierra lineup will consist of two models for a portion of 2022. The first model is the GMC Sierra Limited which is essentially the previous generation of the Sierra. It will be joined during the year by the all-new generation of the GMC full-size pickup which will be offered in a multitude of versions including the all-new Sierra Denali Ultimate and the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X.
This new generation of the GMC Sierra is the most advanced yet. It is more luxurious, it features more technologies, and it comes with improvements across the board designed to meet and exceed the needs of pickup truck owners. While the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate will be the most luxurious Sierra ever introduced and the most luxurious pickup truck available on the market, the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X is designed to go off the beaten path with confidence while also offering its owner's remarkable refinement. The Sierra AT4X is the peak of premium off-road performance while the Sierra Denali Ultimate is the peak of truck luxury.
- A redesigned exterior with a new grille and revised headlamp design for a bolder, more muscular look
- A brand-new interior with a new cockpit and dashboard design, redesigned centre console, and electronic shift precision on models with front bucket seats
